Illegal ALIENS
Heard part of your radio program this morning on the way to work. (The radio is firmly, if not permanently, right-leaning and tuned to 104.1 on the FM dial.)
My take on the Hillsboro pastor is that there is, indeed evil in the world, and we are known by the fruits we produce...
However, the "loophole" upon which they rely is callend Amendment 1 to the Constitution of the United States:
Congress (extended to the states through the tenth) shall make no law ... abridging the freedom of speech ... or the right of the people peaceably to assemble...Although I can't bring myself to oppose the Missouri law about protests near funerals, it's probably unconstitutional, and rightly so.
I can't imagine the willingness of these "religious" people to cause such deep hurt to grieving parents, brothers and sisters, children and friends of people who have died, in this case in service to their country. Simple compassion should put the needs of those people -- "the least of these" -- above the somewhat reverend's didactic message told through hate and pain.
However, we must be very careful when denying rights so painfully won and permanently staked out in the Constitution. Wasn't it Voltaire who suggested he may "disagree with what you say but would defend to the death your right to say it?" The same sentiments were echoed by the Founding Fathers, and I believe in case of doubt we should look to their wisdom.
Your suggestion to peaceably shelter the family from having to see such evil people was precisely on the mark! By doing that, people were exercising their rights of peaceful assembly and free speech, if symbolic in nature. Keeping calm and silent is crucial. Besides, never get in a whizzing contest with a skunk.
I enjoy your passion.
thanks
I only caught about 3 minutes of your show this morning, around 8:30 AM. You were discussing how republicans have lost their way, and I agree with you for the most part. But I think you're doing us a disservice by blasting Jim Talent the way you did this morning. He has stood up straight under a number of issues for us: the Marriage Protection Act in 2004; recently, the senate immigration bill that included amnesty - Talent was strongly opposed when other Republicans such as Bond were in support; he is the sponsor of the constitutional amendment for a Presidential line-item veto (which conservatives should be screaming for right now since it creates a fiscally conservative constituency for the President); plus several tax cuts and other issues. He's running for reelection right now. Coming out against him on the air will only depress voter turnout from your listeners when November rolls around. If you have a problem with a specific issue I think it is helpful to point out that you would like to see Jim Talent reconsider his views. But keep in mind all the areas where he has fought for our values in the past. I don't think it is helpful when you imply that, because of one issue, Jim Talent isn't a good Christian nor a good candidate, especially when you mention this during a discussion of third party candidates. When he is reelected he will have four years until he is in cycle for reelection again, and 6 years until his next reelection: expect great things from Jim Talent come January of 2007. My prediction is that after November we will see Jim Talent out in front of a lot of good, conservative issues. Plus, I guarantee Claire Macaskill isn't going to stand up for conservatives if she is elected!
Sir:
COULDNT GET IN ON THE RADIO............
I AM CONSERVATIVE AND AM PRO-LIFE...BUT VOTING FOR A THIRD PARTY IS VERY DANGEROUS BECAUSE THERE IS NOT ANY CHANCE OF THE 3RD PARTY GETTING IN, AND THAT COULD TIP THE BALANCE IN FAVOR OF THE OPPOSITION, CLAIRE MC CASKELL, AND THAT IS THE SAME THING AS ELECTING HILLARY CLINTON TO THE OFFICE. NOT AT ALL SATISFACTORY.........
ALSO, I WILL SEE THE MOVIE AS IT SHOWS TRUE AMERICAN PATRIOTS AND PAYS HOMAGE TO THEM.
NO AMNESTY FOR ILLEGAL ALIENS........
It's about time that the Republican party realizes that we will vote for a third party rather than take their leftovers!
The Republican party has convinced me to become a card-carrying Libertarian.
Kudos
Next week what promises to be an awesome discussion on the viability of Ethanol and a Sherriff's Deputy sues a jerk criminal and WINS!

Jerks who con Codgers
It really bugs me when people prey on other's weaknesses particularly going after the young or the elderly.
The most recent I have come upon goes like this:
A sweet young thing calls a codger in Willard, Ash Grove or Walnut Grove. The sweet thing acts as though she is going to great lengths to make sure she has the right person on the phone. She will read of "the marks" name, ask the person to verify the spelling of name and address, all of which is available from a variety of places. Next the sweet thing says she is with either Empire Benefits or Bank of Ash Grove. {The Bank of Ash Grove is in no way complicit in ANY of this!} This strategy is brilliant in that MOST of the seniors in the area, due to lack of mobility, bank with The Bank of Ash Grove. Sweet Young thing then reads the first few numbers of the person's bank account to them. If the mark does not know any better they will think this person really does know their account number because those numbers will be at the beginning of the account number. This is the whole key to the scam. Every one who deals at the Bank of Ash Grove will have the first few numbers in common. These numbers are known as Routing or Transit Numbers it is how banks identify one from another so wherever you bank everyone at that branch will have the same few numbers at the beginning of their account. So if someone started reading those numbers to you, you might assume they really were who they said they were and when they asked you to confirm the rest of the numbers on your account you might unwittingly give it to them.
The con is absolutely legal because the conversation is taped, the sweet young thing gets the mark to read the account number aloud and say YES. By doing so they slime their way around the law and start deducting $389.00 per month out of the account which the senior thinks is for a Prescription Drug Discount Card. This same card can be bought from your insurance agent for about $10.00/month.
Please warn all lovable codgers about this scam. Right now they are working the Ash Grove Area but no doubt will soon move to a new "Hot Zone".
See you on the radio!

United States of Mexico
http://www.americanthinker.com/articles.php?article_id=5383&search=meyer
The major point of the article is there are those Mexicans who legitimately want to assimilate and those who are here to exploit American liberties while demanding entitlements. There is no doubt the latter is breeding a whole new era of race problems that WILL boil over. As long as we have spineless legislators in Washington this problem will continue to fester and ultimately there will be violence. This situation could be dealt with but it won't due to political correctness. Guaranteed even the little I have written will be all some idiot needs to suggest I am a racist for even bringing up the subject.
If you are as frustrated as I hope you will join us this Saturday at The Springfield Library - North {North Kansas Expressway} from 11 am - 1 pm. Bring an American Flag, bring a pro American banner. Bring your best behavior and language. There will be children there and those on the left will look to discredit us so let your actions speak positively and proudly.
If you are not frustrated enough, it is now no longer appropriate for American school kids to wear anything patriotic or fly the American flag.

Hollow Men
The truth is the truth and other than the Amish rebuilding someone's house what have you heard from the churches after the Tornados and devastation. OK a total of 4-churches set up as aid stations, maybe 5. Look in the yellow pages and count the number of churches listed and reflect on this again, four maybe five churches in a three county area, {Webster, Christian, Greene} step up sort of. All they did is say ok you can use our gym as a shelter. Yoo-hoo!

Listen for the Bell
Just up the road from my home is a field, with two horses in it.
From a distance, each looks like every other horse. But if you stop your car, or are walking by, you will notice something quite amazing..Looking into the eyes of one horse will disclose that he is blind.
His owner has chosen not to have him put down, but has made a good home for him. This alone is amazing. If nearby and listening, you will hear the sound of a bell. Looking around for the source of the sound, you will see that it comes from the smaller horse in the field. Attached to her halter is a small bell. It lets her blind friend know where she is, so he can follow her.As you stand and watch these two friends, you'll see how she is always checking on him, and that he will listen for her bell and then slowly walk to where she is, trusting that she will not lead him astray. When she returns to the shelter of the barn each evening, she stops occasionally and looks back, making sure her friend isn't too far behind to hear the bell.
Like the owners of these two horses, God does not throw us away just because we are not perfect or because we have problems or challenges. He watches over us and even brings others into our lives to help us when we are in need.
Sometimes we are the blind horse being guided by the little ringing bell of those who God places in our lives. Other times we are the guide horse, helping others see.
Good friends are like this. You don't always see them, but you know they are always there.
Please listen for my bell and I'll listen for yours.

Night of the Twisters
Damage assessment teams have been sent to the hardest hit areas in Christian County.
A COMMUNITY SHELTER (not a Red Cross facility) has been opened at Calvary Baptist Church in Nixa, 103 S Nicholas.
Volunteers are being sent to Lawrence County to perform Damage Assessment.
One volunteer turned in an early estimate of 100 homes that sustained damage in the Billings area.
We are working with other community agencies/partners to determine what supplies/talents they may need so people wanting to help in clean up can do so by using the most valuable channels.
Right now, we are using previously trained Red Cross volunteers. However, we are training those folks who may be interested in working with us. Volunteer orientation and further training is required for those wishing to help the American Red Cross in this way.
The American Red Cross is committed to helping provide for immediate emergency needs including food, shelter, clothing, medical concerns and mental health counseling. Please note – we are not authorized to provide search and rescue or clean up.
Red Cross shelters remain open in Marshfield at the Activity Center (110 Commercial) and Clever at First Baptist Church (105 Kennedy Dr.).
If victims are not near one of these shelters, they should call the American Red Cross at 1-866-206-0256 or 417-832-9500.
While we are unsure of the extent of damage at this time, and cannot estimate the potential cost of recovery, financial donations will be needed. Checks can be sent to 1835 E Chestnut Expy, Springfield MO 65802. Credit card donations will be accepted by phone at 417-832-9500 or on line at www.redcross-ozarks.org.
Item donations should go to one of our local partner agencies (i.e. Salvation Army, Crosslines, Ozarks Food Harvest) as we will work hand in hand to meet the needs of our community.
If you can spare the time the National Weather Service would like to hear from you. If you or your neighborhood sustained storm/tornado damage The NWS wants to log it so as to develop a complete Storm Profile. Call 1-800-762-4363.
Lastly please pray for all those affected and consider how you might help.
Tomorrow, you've probably had enough of BOB, his BIG "smile" and his enzite. Natural Male Enhancement tomorrow. Oh boy!!

Jericho does Manilow
Lot of folks wanted our Darwin Awards.
Here they are:
The Darwin Awards
1. When his 38-caliber revolver failed to fire at his intended victim during a hold-up in Long Beach, California, would-be robber James Elliot did something that can only inspire wonder. He peered down the barrel and tried the trigger again. This time it worked.
2. The chef at a hotel in Switzerland lost a finger in a meat cutting machine and, after a little hopping around, submitted a claim to his insurance company. The company expecting negligence sent out one of its men to have a look for himself. He tried the machine and lost a finger. The chef's claim was approved.
3. A man who shoveled snow for an hour to clear a space for his car during a blizzard in Chicago returned with his Vehicle to find a woman had taken the space. Understandably, he shot her.
4. After stopping for drinks at an illegal bar, a Zimbabwean bus driver found that the 20 mental patients he was supposed to be transporting from Harare to Bulawayo had escaped. Not wanting to admit his incompetence, the driver went to a nearby bus stop and offered everyone waiting there a free ride. He then delivered the passengers to the mental hospital, telling the staff that the patients were very excitable and prone to bizarre fantasies. The deception wasn't discovered for 3 days.
5. An American teenager was in the hospital recovering from serious head wounds received from an oncoming train. When asked how he received the injuries, the lad told police that he was simply trying to see how close he could get his head to a moving train before he was hit.
6. A man walked into a Louisiana Circle-K, put a $20 bill on the counter, and asked for change. When the clerk opened the cash drawer, the man pulled a gun and asked for all the cash in the register, which the clerk promptly provided. The man took the cash from the clerk and fled, leaving the $20 bill on the counter. The total amount of cash he got from the drawer...$15. (If someone points a gun at you and gives you money, is a crime committed?
7. Seems an Arkansas guy wanted some beer pretty badly. He decided that he'd just throw a cinder block through a liquor store window, grab some booze, and run. So he lifted the cinder block and heaved it over his head at the window. The cinder block bounced back and hit the would-be thief on the head, knocking him unconscious. The liquor store window was made of Plexiglas. The whole event was caught on videotape.
8. As a female shopper exited a New York convenience store, a man grabbed her purse and ran. The clerk called 911 immediately, and the woman was able to give them a detailed description of the snatcher. Within minutes, the police apprehended the snatcher. They put him in the car and drove back to the store. The thief was then taken out of the car and told to stand there for a positive ID. To which he>> replied, "Yes, officer, that's her. That's the lady I stole the purse from."
9. The Ann Arbor News crime column reported that a man walked into a Burger King in Ypsilanti, Michigan, at 5 a.m., flashed gun, demanded cash. The clerk turned him down because he said he couldn't open the cash register without a food order. When the man ordered onion rings, the clerk said they weren't available for breakfast. The man, frustrated, walked away.
THE 5-STAR STUPIDITY AWARD WINNER!
When a man attempted to siphon gasoline from a motor home parked on a Seattle street, he got much more than he bargained for. Police arrived at the scene to find a very sick man curled up next to a motor home near spilled sewage. A police spokesman said that the man admitted to trying to steal gasoline and plugged his siphon hose into the motor home's sewage tank by mistake. The owner of the vehicle declined to press charges, saying that it was the best laugh he'd ever had.

Forrests and Patriotic Quotes
Sample emails:
I'll try to make this quick as possible..... People aren't "getting it", the whole Forest thing, the school thing, the tax thing, the war thing..... they don't get it, they don't care! They want to sit on their couch and watch their sports and as long as they have that and something to eat, they just don't care about anything else! They only people that care about anything anymore are the people that the issue is affecting at that moment, not tomorrow, not yesterday....if it's bothering them right now. I'm literally sick by the responses you got this morning, I was really expecting better calls, but then again, I expect alot from people in general and they seem to keep letting me down. I guess life will go on and our Forests can just be sold, doesn't seem to be a big deal to the majority, so be it. Thanks for all you're doing!
Over the years that I have frequented our National Forests, I have met people from many different parts of the country. I have met hunters from ‘many’ other states, as well as backpackers, birders, canoers, kayakers, bikers, and just families enjoying our wonderful country. For those who don’t frequent our forest, how would they know how much it’s used? By the way, I would say that these ‘out of staters’ are bringing in a certain amount of revenue.
The jerk that wants to know about the benefits of the forest to everyone, even those that do not go to the forest...... he should look into how much money the government makes from permits to hunt, to ride your atv, dirtbikes! And there's not that much upkeep going on compared to how much money they are making on the permit fees! Plus the money that private business owners make from the people traveling to and from these sites.... he is a big lib that needs an education! Thanks so much, God bless you for putting this to the public!

What's in a word?
Despite the overwhelming majority of those who voted saying no there is a growing effort to secure all the funds necessary to go forward with one part of the initiative, namely The Crime Lab. Both Papa and Baby Blunt have promised millions but the City/County need to raise about a million bucks to secure the promised Government dollars. By the way those “Government” dollars are your dollars paid faithfully each April.
At first there were those at the city who resisted the effort, not on principal but rather hurt feelings and bitterness at the rejection of their pet project – The Child Development Center. But when a group of Bankers approached Tom Finnie with a too good to be true loan deal, The City Manager quickly brought certain elected officials back in line, So now the public relations battle begins trying to convince the people and each other that no does not mean no in the case of the Crime Lab.
I find myself in strange territory on this in that I agree with Finnie and want to see the Crime Lab built. What is sad even pathetic is The City of Springfield while celebrating No not being No is also celebrating their own ineptitude. As much as I respect Paul Summers, one of the more outspoken opponents to the Child Development Center, I do not agree with his contention that this component of the CSI that led to the iniatives defeat. Rather after talking to hundreds of listeners I have no doubt whatsoever that what voters were rejecting was the politicians themselves. In the majority of people’s minds Finnie, Carlson and others at the city of Springfield have zero credibility. There somewhat dubious track record in handling and spending the people’s money and the subterfuge in explaining how money would vs. was spent has left most voters with a very bad case of halitosis and a deep reluctance to give another penny to Finnie, Carlson et al.

Friends
Let me ask all you liberals an honest question. If you had a friend, a friend who told you they loved you, respected you and then lied to you and purposefully went out of their way to hurt you would you be hurt? Are you capable of any sort of real emotions or are you all so filled with hate and spite that you expect betrayal and hurt from everyone else including your friends?
I live my life by a set of rules. The name on my Citizenship and Social Security Card reads: Vincent David Jericho and Vincent David Jericho stands up everyday and very publicly lives by the rules he has set out. I don’t hide behind anonymous posts and I do not ambush people because I believe people deserve to know up front what your agenda is. Someone who has to resort to ambush or anonymous posts cannot by definition be proud of themselves or what they stand for. Why else would they resort to subterfuge or stay hidden in the shadows.
My name IS Vincent David Jericho and I'll see you on the radio.

Of Baseball Bats and Mayors
Any family could have one black sheep and in the Carlson Family you might say that was Tom Jr. but now you have a second young adult who is now "in trouble" with the law. How far from the tree do the apples fall? If Carlson’s family is in such disarray what does this tell us about the man and his ability to lead?
On other matters it now is clear the City of Springfield put the kibosh on The Guardian Angels new office on Commercial Street. What are they afraid of? A citizens group who wants to help make the community safer. Is it Finnie doesn't like the idea of his mismanagement of the Springfield PD made so obvious that we need the Guardian Angels. I can tell you as a fact that the overwhelming majority of business on commercial WANTED the Angels presence.
For those who asked for the Old Lady Story, here ya go. For everyone else, see ya on the radio!
An older lady gets pulled over for speeding...
Older Woman: Is there a problem, Officer?
Officer: Ma'am, you were speeding.
Older Woman: Oh, I see.
Officer: Can I see your license please?
Older Woman: I'd give it to you but I don't have one.
Officer: Don't have one?
Older Woman: Lost it, 4 years ago for drunk driving.
Officer: I see...Can I see your vehicle registration papers please.
Older Woman: I can't do that.
Officer: Why not?
Older Woman: I stole this car.
Officer: Stole it?
Older Woman:
Yes, and I killed and hacked up the owner.
Officer: You what?
Older Woman: His body parts are in plastic bags in the trunk if you want to see.
The Officer looks at the woman and slowly backs away to his car and calls for back up. Within minutes 5 police cars circle the car. A senior officer slowly approaches the car, clasping his half drawn gun.
Officer 2: Ma'am, could you step out of your vehicle please!
The woman steps out of her vehicle.
Older woman: Is there a problem sir?
Officer 2: One of my officers told me that you have stolen this car and murdered the owner.
Older Woman: Murdered the owner?
Officer 2: Yes, could you please open the trunk of your car, please. The woman opens the trunk, revealing nothing but an empty trunk.
Officer 2: Is this your car, ma'am?
Older Woman: Yes, here are the registration papers. The officer is quite stunned.
Officer 2: One of my officers claims that you do not have a driving license. The woman digs into her handbag and pulls out a clutch purse and hands it to the officer. The officer examines the license. He looks quite puzzled.
Officer 2: Thank you ma'am, one of my officers told me you didn't have a license, that you stole this car, and that you murdered and hacked up the owner.
Older Woman: Bet the liar told you I was speeding, too.

OK so what's Rumolli you ask? It's a Card Game popular in the 60's in Canada. It has a poker component and a Rummy component. Great Game! You can find it at www.CanadianGames.com
Dancing with the Stars? Go tohttp://abc.go.com/primetime/dancing/index.html
I confess the first time around I really didn't get the OJ thing. I knew it was the wrong verdict but I didn't understand how deep the problem America faces is. It took a card game and a goofy TV show.
Master P is some Hip Hop Mogul. I know nothing about him other than what I have been able to glean from the TV Show. Seems like an OK Guy. However the guy cannot dance and should have been voted off the show weeks ago but he hasn't. Why? Because a large block of predominantly black voters are voting for him based on nothing more than his and their color. This is wrong, it is not fair and it goes against the idea that the show is a contest rather it has become a popularity contest.
So what? It's a goofy TV show right? Right!?
Actually I think it is a microcosm of many things Black in America today. Master P cannot dance yet Black people vote for him because he is black. Entitlements are crippling America and in the long run are destroying the initiative and drive of many poor black people yet Black people continue to vote for Democrats because they have been duped into believing they cannot make it in society without them.
It was around our Rumolli game last Saturday that some very lively discussion took place on this very thing. It's the Plantation Mentality. Master will take care of us. The sad thing is Master is now The Democratic Party and their Entitlement Programs. One of the people at the table, a woman, once on welfare was proud she had pulled herself up and had become a productive member of society raising her kids with no government help. "If I had all those entitlements I don't think I would have worked so hard to get to where I am".
The problem how do you get a large segment of the Black population to see the Democratic Party for what they are and how do you give them the courage to leave the plantation?!

Lastly please consider and keep this in your prayers.
My son has been shot in Fallujah. I wanted to get everyone to pray for my son Chad. Today, Sunday, I got a call from the Army that my son had been shot in the head. I am asking for all your prayers. He was in a Humvee going through Fallujah fighting and a gang of militia fighters fired on the Humvee and hit Chad in the head. The driver got him out of the city and took him to Baghdad. He was in fatal condition, but now has been upgraded to stable critical. His dad and I are on standby to fly to Washington then on to Germany as soon as the military calls us to go. The Army is trying to stabilize him enough to fly to Germany and at that time we will leave. Please pray that my son will not have brain damage and that he will be restored and healed by the blood of Jesus, and the grace of God. I ask for you to pass this prayer request on so there will be many prayer warriors praying for him. Thank you so much and I will try to keep you updated on his condition.

I hope that is all the housekeeping. Got a great email re the prison girls and their letters for money thing:
Gross!!!
As much as porn--soft or hard--disgusts me to the core, I am wondering if Nixon is singling out these 33 women. Are other prisoners who are making money in a similar manner allowed to keep the money? I believe that no prisoner should be allowed to profit on-line, regardless where the money goes. They cannot vote--why should they be able to run a business? True, it may be good "training" for the business world...but these women are not going to get out and open a business. Maybe a brothel... They are paying no overhead, wages, etc, and are reaping all the benefits. they can take advantage of all the free college they can get as that "experience". it doesnt matter if they were to make $10.00 or $100,000.00; it should NOT be allowed in the first place.
Since you will not release the addresses (thank you!!), please let us know the institutions so we can complain.
At least Nixon took the money; he should stop it altogether.
