Once again the "fish-wrapper" shows their incompetence by being scooped on a Springfield news story by a Columbia newspaper.

What is often not understood is the "chill effect" of the bad public policy that is Missouri's low income tax credit policy.
Many real estate developers who would otherwise build housing for the low income market...choose not to do so because they do not want to get involved in the game of politics to compete for the government subsidy...and because there is a subsidy for some why would they risk investing to compete in an unlevel playing field?
If we must subsidize we should do it by boosting the existing earned income tax credit.
This would also eliminate the need to audit to see if there is compliance with complex rules about how much income renters may have and what % of the rental units are rented to low income tenants.
How did Carlson-Gardner purchase the land on Scenic from Msu, that was a gift to them from Close Family?
